Adair School Board March meeting report

By Linda Waggener

We get a 'tardy' score on this report, but still want to share the good news of the March Adair County school board meeting.

The meeting date was changed so everyone could attend the ACHS boys basketball team's first game in the state tournament. With momentum around that, things moved quickly through the agenda items.

Some of the most exciting news is the new middle school, underway now beside the high school, which Superintendent Jason Faulkner said, "is beginning to come up out of the ground - an exciting site to visit."

His jump was 21 feet and 2 and a quarter inches - the Superintendent offered for him to demonstrate but the board room isn't quite set up for it.

LWC Health and Wellness Center - a gathering place

By Macy Welsh

The Holloway Health and Wellness Center is a place for not only students, but community members to come and congregate with one another. In an interview with Tori Starks, the Director of the Holloway Health and Wellness Center, she stated that it is a "Great gathering place, not only for students, but the community."
