Girls go to Frankfort

2026-03-24 - Frankfort, KY - Photo by Veronica Arnold.
Veronica writes, "Today I had the pleasure of taking my daughter and a couple other school girls to Frankfort. We had the pleasure of meeting up with Mrs. Amy Neighbors and, even though session was cancelled today, she made sure to keep her appointment with us. She sat down and answered many questions the children had and then gave us a tour. Normally we could not see so much of the Annex as it's too small for visitors to come on the floor. As session wasn't in order today we got to see the House floor and the Senate floor.

It was truly a very special day. After all the questions were answered, they got a hands-on experience seeing the sights and sounds behind the scenes. It was very pleasant to meet the person and get to know each other beyond the elected office she holds.

Introducing these young ladies to the Democratic process."
