I have many Hallmark movies saved in my library so it was convenient to pop one on as the scenery in those Christmas movies is always so pretty to watch no matter what time of the year it is!"

Columbia High School class of 1953 meets Saturday

The Columbia High School class of 1953 met Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Black Stallion restaurant to celebrate their 73rd reunion. They were the last class to graduate from that school which was located where Adanta is now at the top of Guardian Street, "Grade School Hill." From left are classmates Bob Jeffries, Hilda Jenkins, Sonny Williams, Irene Harmon, and Jeanette Page.

The evening's hot, humid weather caused several Lindsey Wilson student-athletes to take breaks and drink extra water. The Blue Raiders won the game 52-6. With 10:11 remaining in the fourth quarter, the game was called due to lightning in the area.
