KSP to investigate Green Co. incident Related: Greensburg PD cruiser stolen, retrieved after chase Greensburg, KY - The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 15 in Columbia has been requested by the Greensburg Police Department (GPD) to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred on November 26, 2023 at approximately 7:17 p.m. CST in Green County. At the request of the GPD, KSP Post 15 Troopers and Detectives responded to the scene on Creason Lane near the intersection with US 68. KSP initiated an investigation into the incident and it remains ongoing. KSP has statewide jurisdiction and investigates officer-involved shootings throughout the Commonwealth as requested by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. KSP is committed to being transparent while ensuring the integrity of the investigation. To protect the integrity of an ongoing investigation, it is KSP's standard operating procedure not to release specific details until vital witnesses have been interviewed and pertinent facts gathered.
