ACSO: Adair man airlifted to UK following moped accident From Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office On Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 12:20pmCT, the Adair County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to an injury collision 5 miles south of Columbia on KY55 South in the Glensfork community. Preliminary investigation shows Timothy Kimbler, age 43, of Adair County, was traveling north on KY 55 when he lost control of the moped he was operating. Kimbler went into the ditch line and was ejected from the bike into the roadway. Adair County EMS treated Kimbler on scene and transported him to TJ Health Columbia, where he was loaded into an awaiting helicopter. Kimbler was flown to University of KY for treatment of head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The accident is being investigated by Deputy Emily Wall, who was assisted by Sheriff Brockman and Deputy Jason Camfield. Responding agencies included the Adair County Sheriff's Office, Adair County EMS, Columbia - Adair County Fire Department, Adair County 911, and Air Evac. This story was posted on 2023-10-12 18:53:21
