ACSO: Adair Co man arrested on drug trafficking charges

On Friday, March 22, 2019, at 12:23amCT, the Adair County Sheriff's Office conducted a search of a residence suspected to be used for the illegal sale of narcotics.

The home was located in eastern Adair County, off of TP Cundiff Road. During the search, individually packaged methamphetamine was located, along with pills, loaded syringes, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, and cash suspected as proceeds from sales of said drugs.

Joseph Trumpis, age 40, was arrested and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on the following charges:
  • Trafficking in a Controlled substance 1st degree Methamphetamine
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance 2nd degree
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia


Deputy Chandler Staten is continuing the investigation, and was assisted on the scene by Chief Deputy Justin Cross and KSP Trooper Billy Begley.


NOTE: An arrest is not a finding of guilt. An individual placed under arrest is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
