Carol Perkins: Trying to leave Previous Column: The Recipe By Carol Perkins Two nights before my trip, my CPAC machine quit. It wouldn't come on. I rushed to the medical supply center on Thursday morning, left it for repair, and went back near closing, but it was kerplunk. What to do? I couldn't get a replacement because I hadn't seen my doctor for three years! So, I embarrassedly called Dr. Amy's office; by then, it was a little past closing, and I was fortunate someone answered. Letter: I-65 Spur Rationale Jim Hudson writes: A few years ago the Natcher Parkway was designated as an interstate spur and given the I-165 interstate designation. Phillip Coffey: no flyover zone By Phillip Coffey Recently I told Billie a story from long ago - six plus decades. When I attended Keltner School, which had no amenities except "window lights", I only recall having one teacher substitute. The only thing I remember about that day was that apparently "the Substitute" thought he was in a "No Fly Zone", in the Headwaters of the Amazon River Basin or in New Guinea. Marcella Clements, 88, Casey County, KY Marcella Clements, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Care Center. She was 88. Born on October 11, 1936, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late William Virgil and Ebbie Hicks Long. Marcella was a homemaker and seamstress, formerly working at both Liberty Sportswear and OshKosh. She also formerly worked at McDonald's for ten years and loved her job there. She was a member of Creston Missionary Baptist Church. Marcella loved her children and grandchildren, gardening, and caring for her flowers.
