Indians basketball in top CJ preseason rankings By Trey Stephens, CM staff writer The Louisville Courier Journal put out their preseason top 25 for the 2024-25 KHSAA Boys Basketball season this week. Adair County came in ranked at #7, their highest preseason ranking this century. The poll lists Great Crossing High School, defending state semifinalist at #1, last year state runner up, Harlan County at #23, last years other semifinalist, Evangel Christian at #24, defending state champion Lyon County is unranked. James Quincy Emerson, 46, Liberty, KY (1978m-2024) James Quincy Emerson, of Liberty, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at his home. He was 46. Born on April 14, 1978, a son of James Clifford Emerson of Columbia and Kimberly Renee Durham (and Bruce) Edwards of Liberty. Quincy was a kindhearted and loving person who met everyone with a smile. He worked as a mail carrier for USPS and enjoyed his time off as an avid outdoorsman and spending time with his family.
