Adams launches statewide Early Voting campaign

From Michon Lindstrom

Frankfort, KY - On Monday, October 7, 2024, Secretary of State Michael Adams launched a $250,000 statewide advertising campaign to promote early voting in the 2024 general election.

"I'm putting my money where my mouth is and using funds from my Office to encourage early voting," said Adams. "Skip the lines and vote the Thursday, Friday, or Saturday before election day. Voting early is just like voting on election day, except the lines will be shorter."

The campaign includes statewide television ads and billboards, which remind Kentuckians that any voter who is qualified to vote on election day in the county of his or her residence may choose to cast a no-excuse in person absentee ballot on Thursday, October 31, Friday, November 1, or Saturday, November 2, 2024.

In Adair County, early voting will take place at the Adair County Courthouse Annex Basement, 424 Public Square, Columbia. Come in the front doors go straight ahead; voters may take elevator or steps to the basement. Remember that voters must provide proof of ID.

Early voting locations and hours statewide can be found at govote.ky.gov. The effort may be supplemented further should sufficient funds be available.
