Biggs and Faulkner join Columbia Adair Chamber Board The annual Columbia Adair County Chamber of Commerce Christmas gathering was a well attended affair Tuesday evening. Food was provided by the Board members and two new members were introduced. Adair native Stacey Biggs, T.J. Regional Health Executive Vice President, will fill the position formerly held by Columbia City Clerk Woody Sharpe. New Adair School Superintendent Jason Faulkner will fill the position held by former Superintendent Pam Stephens. Jeffery Cooper, 58, Russell County, KY (1965-2023) Jeffery Allen Cooper, of Jamestown, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at his home. He was 58 years of age. He was a soft spoken, quiet natured man, who was never known to speak an unkind word of anyone. As a younger man, he would go on adventures he would call "walk-abouts". He enjoyed fishing and watching Kentucky ballgames. He was born November 28, 1965, son of Lyle and Deanna Swanson Cooper. He made his profession of faith at a young age at Clear Fork Baptist Church. Adair County Community Choir in Christmas Concert One of the most delightful things about the holidays is the music, the international language that draws us together. That's what happened at the Columbia Christian Church early this month. The Christmas Concert performed by the Adair County Community Choir brought people together and packed the church. Choir Director Ginna Franklin and Dwayne Martin, Accompanist, led a stage filled with volunteer singers from age 7 to 70+ who spend time every week preparing.
