Columbia PD report details of fatality collision on bypass Preliminary investigation indicates that driver fatally injured was WB on Bypass, failed to stop at traffic control light at intersection with KY 61 S, and travelled into path of 2001 Corolla, which was unable avoid the collision, police say. Adair County Fire Department extricated the victim by mechanical means. He is pronounced dead at Westlake Regional Hospital by AC Coroner Todd Akin. The investigation of the collision continues by Ofc. Drew Conn of the Columbia Police Department. Jason Adam Willis, Russell Co., KY, Adair native (1980-2014) He was a member of a highly regarded Adair County, KY, family, his native county. He was a resident of Russell County, KY, where last rites will be held. He was the son of the late Harvey Alton Willis, and Bernice Bennett Willis, who survives. According to Mr. Akin, Mr. Harlan's vehicle was broadsided in the two vehicle colllision.
