Adair CAIP farm program receives $200,00 in development funds Grant will allow funding of 50-50 cost sharing with maximum funding of $1,500 per farm operation. Applications will be taken Friday, August 25 through Friday, September 12, 2014. By Teresa Bright The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board recently approved $200,000 in Agricultural Development Funds for the 2014 Adair County CAIP program (County Agricultural Investment Program) to be administered by the Adair County Cattlemen's Association. This program is a 50% cost-share program with a maximum funding of $1,500 per farm operation. CAIP is designed to provide farmers with incentives to allow them to improve and diversify their current production practices. Taylor Co. mother faces wanton endangerment charge From Taylor County Sheriff's Office The Taylor County Sheriff's Office in Campbellsville, KY, received a report on Monday, July 21, 2014, from Social Services alleging that a mother had left two small children home alone. After an investigation it was found that Anna Newcomb had abandoned the children, one aged four, the other nine months, leaving the two home alone for two hours. Information from the investigation was turned over to the Taylor County Attorney's Office. On Sunday, August 10, 2014, an arrest warrant charging wanton endangerment 2nd Degree, was issued for Anna Newcomb, age 24 years.
