Academic Team: Amber Loy finishes in Top 10 at State

2022-05-04 - Columbia, KY - Photo courtesy family.
ACHS Academic Team competitor Amber Loy finished 8th in the entire state in Individual Future Problem Solving at the Governor's Cup State Championships in Louisville. This statewide competition was held mid-March, and after a series of rounds of evaluation, the results for this competition were revealed this week.

Concluding a competitive high school career that was interrupted by pandemic, Loy bookends her time in Academic Team with another Top 10 individual finish that was preceded by a Top 10 finish in the Grades 7-9 Division during her Freshman year. During that stretch, Loy also finished among the Top 10 in the state in team and competed her Freshman year in the International Championships in Amherst, Massachusetts.
