Nurse Practitioners Week proclaimed in Adair

ACJE Gale Cowan writes, "I was happy to proclaim this week as Nurse Practitioners Week. According to the Kentucky Association of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse-Midwives, Adair County has 37 Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (ARNP) and over 9,600 in the State of Kentucky. For more than half a century Nurse Practitioners have been working to reduce health disparities and ensure that high quality person-centered healthcare is readily accessible to our communities."

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nurse Practitioners have been on the front lines testing, treating patients and doing what they can to prevent the spread of the virus.
