By Dakota Smith Last night, Lindsey Wilson College ISP held our Culture Shock event, to talk about the effects of culture shock on high school students transitioning into college and how to cope with them. We were able to learn about Maufinda Howard (far left) from Liberia and how students in her country dress nicely everyday, so it was strange to see how casually students dress here sometimes. We were also able to learn about how Aleksa Ciric (far right) misses the food in Serbia! Thankfully, we talked about some strategies to cope with the transition from being excited about starting a new school, to missing home, family, and friends.
