Celebrating coming home after long COVID-19 experience

2020-12-30 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Robin Smith.
Steve Smith is home where he and his family are filled with joy. He said he had made his peace with God during his 54-day hospitalization, fearing he was losing the battle with the Coronavirus, but was spared and allowed to return to his family right before Christmas 2020.

Both he and his mother Ruby were hospitalized on the same day - Halloween 2020. She said they do know without much doubt where they were both exposed at the same time and late October, but at this point all these weeks later there's no need to publicly name the place. She said maybe sharing their family's story will just help everyone be more careful going forward.
