Gabe Coleman with citizenship project medal and badge

2020-11-24 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Maggie Coleman.

Yesterday I opened a package and inside was the medal and badge for the Jimmy Stewart Good Citizenship Award. I was very excited to receive them but also to have completed all the work required for them. I had to take a quiz on Jimmy Stewart, write a 500 word paper on good citizenship in scouting, and complete a service project dedicated to Jimmy Stewart.

I learned a lot about him, especially about his film and military career, and even enjoyed a few of the movies he starred in. He was a really nice guy, a Boy Scout, and retired from the air force reserves as a Brigadier General. It was fun to learn about him and I really enjoyed it. - Gabe Coleman
