Long after we're gone

In many of the places I walk, almost nothing has changed. In these areas, there are no warnings of a pandemic, no sounds of protest, no apocalyptic prophecies, no politics or disgruntled misgivings, whatsoever. I’m increasingly convinced that much of the life that exists here will continue, long after we’re gone.
