May proclaimed Older Americans Month in Adair

2020-05-12 - Columbia, KY - Photo from the office of Adair County Judge Executive .
Adair County Judge Executive Gale Cowan proclaims the month of May, 2020 as Older Americans Month.

Because Adair county is stronger when people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds are included and encouraged;

and because the County recognizes the importance of physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being of its citizens;

residents are encouraged to support community members by promoting independence, inclusion, and participation among all ages through education, recreation, and service, and connecting one another to share time, experience and talents.

Judge Cowan said normally she would be surrounded by leaders from the group being honored, however, in this time of Coronavirus, it is best not to have at-risk ages gathering until the disease is past.
