Sunset over a surprise announcement for the AC Fairgrounds

2019-09-25 - South Hwy 55, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
As the sun sets over Columbia today, we watch from what will be the entry to the new home of the Adair County fairgrounds. At 4:30pm Wednesday, September 25, 2019, the Bank of Columbia Board of Directors announced the donation of over 10 acres of land in the Columbia Adair County Industrial Park to the Fairground Association. The future Adair County Fair home will now be located across from IMO Pump (formerly DeLaval), 211 Industrial Park Road. The new Fairgrounds will be near the Joe Johnson Little League Park, Morgan Smith Industries, the Business Card printing company, White Millworks and Fastenal. More news to come on this welcome announcement that the Fair will have its own home again.
