Groundbreaking held for new lighting in New Columbia

The City of Columbia held a groundbreaking Wednesday, August 7, 2019 for the Holladay Place Street Light Expansion Project. Twelve new poles with a total of 15 lights will be placed along Boyd and Corporate Drives and Patricia Trail. Pictured from left are: Council member Linda Waggener; Vickie Pike, citizen activist for improved lighting in New Columbia; Alex Kelsey, neighbor business manager of Whayne Supply; Mayor Pamela Hoots and Council member Sharon Payne.
