Blue the Cat's tiny orchids, not in a good space

2019-04-19 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
In the spot where Smokey Blue the Cat lounges after the rock is suitably warmed by the sun, suddenly these tiny orchid flowers have arrived. He has been troubled to have to find a different rock and it just doesn't suit. I like the flowers, however, so they are staying for their season and I have asked him nicely to enjoy a different space on the rock wall.

Speaking of trouble, a third cat has been joining Blue and Mama Cat at food times. New Cat is hungry, so it's not a friendly social call, it's a yowling, I-need-food announcement on arrival. And New Cat looks much like Blue in coloring, but rather than welcome a possible cousin, Blue does a lot of hissing and territory claiming. This, too, just isn't suiting Blue. Extra food is being put out to accommodate New Cat, but if anyone would like to adopt him, send Blue a message by clicking on 'Comment' below. Please hurry.
