Six KY sites nominated for National Register of Historic Places 2019-04-08 - Frankfort, KY - Photo courtesy KY Tourism. Six sites from Kentucky will be considered for listing in the National Register of Historic Places on Tuesday, April 9, including a historic limestone roadbed and series of turnpike milestones from Louisville to Bardstown, nominated by the Youth Chamber of Preservationists student group from Bullitt East High School. Louisville to Bardstown Turnpike Milestones and Roadbed Butchertown Historic District J.J. Reilly Manufacturing Building at North 13th and Rowan streets in Louisville Heartland Farm, located at 1470 Clifton Road near Versailles. Trail’s End Camp, 8030 Elk Lick Falls Road in rural Fayette County Willis Russell Memorial House, located at 204 E. Walnut Street, Danville. The Kentucky Historic Preservation Review Board meeting will take place at 10amET at Paul Sawyer Public Library, 319 Wapping St., Frankfort, KY. The review board is charged with evaluating nominations prior to their submission to the National Park Service (NPS), which will issue a final determination of listing within 45 days of receipt.
