April, 2019 proclaimed Spring Cleanup Month in Adair

2019-04-06 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Adair County Judge Executive Gale Cowan gathered volunteers together with staff for the signing of the proclamation designating April as Spring Cleanup Month with the spotlight going to our natural beauty, free of trash. April is the month our earth is celebrated nationally and a time to think of how we each manage our solid waste. Pictured are Judge Cowan and daughter Beth, Angie, Aaron and MaKayla Smith, David and Alicia Beasley, Harold Burton, David and Brody Karnes, Terry Hadley, Alyssa Wilson, Coach Chris Schmidt and Natalie Vickous. Clean up areas were selected by individual's choices. Others were joining in after the photo was made and volunteering through the month and Judge Cowan asks that every citizen volunteer time to pick up the area in front of their own homes, farms or businesses. Her office is providing safety vests and garbage bags. Pickup will be coordinated through the office of Solid Waste Management, 270-378-0782.
