Forgotten ball

A lost and found from summer. Strong winds today swept enough leaves from the edge of our fence to reveal a forgotten baseball. Undoubtedly left behind by a little boy pretending to hit a homer during a humid backyard practice with dad. However, today’s forecast of rain and wind would surely leave any MLB game cancelled.

The ball did serve as a reminder that it’s sign up time for Adair County Little League and Softball. If interested, volunteers will be at the Joe Johnson Little League Park (blue building) every Monday from 5pmCT until 8pmCT and Wednesdays from 6pmCT to 8pmCT throughout the month of February. Remember to bring your child or children with you, because the uniform vendor will be on site for sizing.
