Seasonal show of nature, Hurt Street Curve, Columbia, KY

2018-08-22 - Hurt Street shortcut Curve, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Roseland Plantation, in eyeshot of the Historic Adair County Courthouse, three blocks from Downtown, offers a fleeting glimpse of a well tended home for horses and a fence line where leaving well enough alone is yielding highly memorable moments. Someone identified the spray of white flowers saddling the fencerow last year, and we'll post that soon as we find it or someone sends a reminder. A hint of ironweed in the left is just a portent of ironweed glory to come. Most importantly, though, in the shadows of the barn door are new equine neighbors who will be giving friendly greetings to shortcutters and other passers-by. - EW. Photo Tue 22 Aug 2018.
