Richard Steele, write-in candidate for State Representative, 51st District, Adair and Taylor Counties asked for votes at Farmers Market on the Square in Columbia Saturday July 28, 2018. In this picture he was grilled by Lindsey Wilson College educator Jackie Montgomery, at left, who wanted to know his views in detail. Steele said the final straw in his motivation to run as a write-in candidate in the November general election was his opposition to the current administration's treatment of education funding, the pension system and right to work. He also shared that he would vote for immediate legalization of Hemp and medical Marijuana because he said he is finding the majority of citizens want it done.
