Could your family host an international student? 2018-07-11 - Cranmer Dining Center, Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, columbiamagazine.com. Sabine Eastham, director of Lindsey Wilson College's international education program, appealed to the attendees at the July 10, 2018 Chamber of Commerce lunch to ask themselves, "Could our family host an international student?" She said yes, any size or style family can host a student because just as every family is different in they way they live, so are host families -- some celebrate with official events, others casual, some just attend and cheer at sports games their student might be in, and all combine to show students from other countries how life is lived in America. She reminded the audience that LWC houses the students, none of them require living in with a family. All engagement with students are at the host family's choosing. - LW Permalink | Comments?
