Preliminary work is underway on Rollen Coomer Road Bridge

2018-06-21 - Johnson School Road, Gadberry-Fairplay, Adair County, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com.
Charles Marshburn, from the other side of the stream, sent a note, yesterday, June 20, 2018, asking if his neighbor's field had become "A Parking Lot for Old School Buses." After an intense interrogation, he sent a follow-up that the bus is an Adair County Road Department and that preliminary work on the Rollen Coomer Road Bridge is underway, inviting us to see for ourselves. This scene was captured after leaving. The bridge builders - the span is being built by the Adair County Road Department - were busy as beavers. Adair County Judge Executive Michael Lee Stephens said he expects the bridge, in Magistrate Sammy Baker's 3rd District, to be completed in as little as four to six weeks. - EW
