2018-05-25 - Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo Submitted by George Kolbenschlag, from collection of Maxine Walker.

"This is a photo from Maxine Walker's collection of historical photos from our local history. She allowed us to make a copy for Vonnie to frame and post at the Traubue-Russell House. It was a victory parade following WWII, probably taken right after the war, when these heroes returned home. The sailor with the white hat, the second from the right, is Bill Walker, one of the first to welcome Vonnie and me when we arrived in Adair County 31 years ago and a real hometown hero until the day he left us. It will be interesting to see if folks can identify any of the others in the photo." - George Kolbenschlag
