Too many maligned plants have some redeeming qualities, just as, to paraphrase a quote in "Walking Dead," every plant is better than it's worst trait. Daisies, on the left, just plain happy up everyplace they are. But if for no other reason, how in the world could anyone find a better way to diagnose true love, to know whether she/he loves one or not. Nodding thistles (just showing lavender color) on the other hand, are almost universally sentenced to capital punishment, and, though many escape the verdict, they do provide beauty, food for hummingbirds, butterflies, and bumbly-bees. - EW
