A packed Cranmer Dining Center was enthralled by keynote speaker Dr. John B. Begley, the college's sixth president, who spent a comparitively brief time reminiscing and focused even more on the bright future of the institution. The eighth and current President, Dr. Bill Luckey, second from left, chronicled the last 40 years of the school, and the pivotal period when John Begley became president. He noted that when he became president, popular thinking was to keep a predecessor off the campus as much as possible. He said he had done exactly the opposite, and that that was a major reason he - Dr. Luckey, is currently the longest serving higher education - public and private - President in the State of Kentucky. - EW Permalink | Comments?
