The Columbia Adair County Utilities District Board of Commissioners met in a Special Regular Session last night, Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the District Office. From Front Lenny Stone, General Manager, Commissioner Mike Newton, Vice Chair David Jones, who presided in the absence of Chairman Wid Harris, Commisioner Doug Sapp, Board Attorney Marshall Loy, Commissioner Junior Brown, and CAUD Field Supervisor Jeff Wooldridge. Adair County Judge Executive and media representatives were also present. The meeting lasted about 30 minutes, but covered several major issues facing the community, including progress on the natural gas distribution system, a report that the Burkesville Street Phase of the downtown project is far ahead of schedule and under budget despite bad weather and unexpected rock encounters, new sewer plans for property at Jamestown Street and Industrial Drive, among other items. - EW Permalink | Comments?
