Redbud Time: Flower tree in teaser stage, Russell County, KY

Yesterday, Monday, March 19, 2018, in the wake of an education by Granddaughters Hailey & Tilley, there was a new family speak in our family: Flowering trees are "flower trees," for one, and that was the quest for Monday pictures. And here's a great one, a redbud flower tree in Russell County, very early for this part of the country, we thought - usually - the counties with a jump on spring are associated with the prevailing winds - Metcalfe, Barren, Warren, and particularly Todd and Christian; we expect them to be ahead. But here it was, a redbud tree in it's teaser stage, exhilarating with anticipation more than fulfillment. But it does mean the daily watch for us and readers is on. - EW
