Changing face of Burkesville Street - Coffey Cave area 2018-03-15 - Coffey Cave, 500 block of Burkesville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. The house so long known as the Cundiff House is now brightly visible after the Stotts family cleared out the brush and left only the mature shade trees. Two pieces of equipment mark two very historic landmarks. On the left, a Ditch Witch blocks the entrance to a cellar. on the right, a yellow Track Hoe blocks the entrance to Coffey Cave. The utility work on the Burkesville Street Phase of the Downtown Project has now reached Tutt Street/Ky 2287. According to Lenny Stone, Columbia/Adair Utilities District, quoting inspector Joe McGeorge at the CAUD March 8, 2018 meeting, the project is now just 50 feet from its midpoint, which would in the frontage of Dog Gone Classy.
