Like a mini-St. Louis Arch, the trackhoe digging a bore pit for the directional boring machine preparations, is a westward gateway here, to W Frazier Avenue crossing Burkesville Street. Though every effort has been made to minimize interruption of traffic during construction, motorists are asked to observe the signage and be especially alert in the area. The work is particularly tedious here. On the left is the Masonic Lodge building, where every first and third Tuesday there's a large gathering for the Adair County Knife Swap, which was suspended yesterday because of the construction. The next meeting will be at 3pmCT, Tuesday, March 6, 2018.
