Mystery 1520 answer: Angels in small cemetery in Liberty, KY

2018-01-31 - Casey County, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, columbiamagazine.com.
There wasn't a single guess on Mystery 1520 posted Jan. 23, 2018 pictured at this link Mystery 1520 Do you know where these Angels are? The answer is below. -- LW
The angels pictured close up in the mystery photo, and from a distance here in this one, are among the grave markers in a small, private cemetery in Liberty, Casey County, KY. Our thanks go to Kat Goode at the Casey County Library for sharing information so we could identify it -- the Napier Cemetery -- and make the connection to the Trustee, Barry Rousey. He said there are mostly Napier and Cowden family members buried there. Jim Cowden, one of the founders of the Casey County Bank, left a small endowment for it to be maintained. Rousey inherited the Trusteeship from his father who worked in the Casey County Bank and was the trustee of the cemetery in his lifetime.
