Half-hour to kickoff, only hint of huge Blue Raider Stadium crowd

Minutes before kickoff, a good crowd had arrived for Senior Day activities on Saturday, November 11, 2017, but in 30 minutes, fans from Campbellsville University and the Hometown Blue Raider supporters would swell the attendance to 2,742, approximately twice the total population of Columbia, KY, in 1940, when the stadium site was out in the county - and fire trucks likely would not have come had there been a fire. The Best Ever 2017 Blue Raiders have earned the support to deserve an out stadium record crowd at 12:30pmCT, on Saturday, November 18, 2017, when the unbeaten team faces No. 9. Southeastern (FL) in the NAIA FCS Playoffs First Round.
