Minja Gilgic and Jovana Peric capture doubles title

Lindsey Wilson College's Minja Gligic and Jovana Peric captured the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southeast Region women's doubles title Sunday, September 24, 2017, at the Lackey Tennis Center. The Blue Raider tandem defeated Campbellsville's (Ky.) Kaede Amano and Majella Nobile -- the tournament's top-seed -- 8-6 to claim the title. Today's win marks the second-seeded team that Gligic and Peric defeated during the single-elimination tournament. They also dismissed the third-seed pair during the tournament. Gligic and Peric ended the tournament with a 5-0 record. Gligic and Peric posted a 14-3 record last season as a doubles team. Gligic and Peric advance to the 2017 ITA Oracle Cup, October 11-15, 2017, in Rome, Georgia.
