Mike Keltner: Flash flood warning for today

2017-08-31 - Keen-Wilson Road at Russell Creek ford. EMS file photo - Photo by Mike Keltner, Adair County Emergency Director.
As a flash flood watch remains in effect from this evening, Thursday, August 31, 2017, into Friday night, September 1, 2017, we would like to remind Adair Countians to use caution while driving and around water. We have coordinated with county agencies in preparation of the arrival of the remnants of Hurricane Harvey. We expect flash flooding to impact the usual low lying areas and pooling of water is a risk on roadways. Please plan ahead for a flooding risk over the next few days. Remember to turn around, don't drown, when roadways are flooded... - MIKE KELTNER
