At the corner of Flowers & Flowers in the Silent City 2017-08-24 - Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. This vantage point in the Columbia Cemetery is one used often by photographers for ColumbiaMagazine.com. But for the first time, we noticed a capsulized book in the history of one great family in Adair County, a solid lineup along the roadway with "Flowers" engraved on the back of the tablets; and perhaps 15 minutes later, discovered that the markers continue to the left. A historian would be able to see the information as just the most obvious information and know that the information would need encyclopedic volumes to tell the stories of one of the greatest teachers ever in Adair County, more than one military hero, a Columbia mayor whose progressive term changed the city dramatically for the good, a woman whose name is synonymous with "genealogy" and "history," leaders of agriculture and more. - EW.
