This guy is a long-term resident of our neck of Cool Springs Creek. He spends most of his time fishing for wild minnows and other critters that inhabit the waters. The morning I took the photo, he was hanging out in neighbor Todd and Cozetta Legg's pasture along the creek seemingly preoccupied with land-based prey and preening. He's a shy, quiet, yet stately fixture here in Paradise USA--a welcome part of our daily experience as we pass his favorite fishin' hole tending the cattle. Of course he, could be a she . . .
