Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss and an ACSO Deputy were having a brief lull in a busy day this morning taking back unused prescription drugs. In the first hour, 40 lbs had been taken in, Sheriff Moss said. Last year, for the full 10am-2pmCT take back session, a record 101 lbs were properly recovered. The ACSO will be at the location this year until 2pmCT, too. (The shy deputy is Aaron Rainwater, who may have had a head-scratching spell when the High Sheriff recalled investigating a tip about an outdoor marijuana grow in the South End of the County. They search an entire farm and didn't find a single MJ plant.
