Adair Fiscal Court Nuisance Committee meets; takes 1 action

2017-04-21 - Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener, Columbiamagazine.com(c) .
Magistrate Terry Hadley (District 7) presided at a meeting at 9amCT, today, Friday, April 21, 2017, of the Adair Fiscal Court Nuisance Committee, with committee member Harold Burton (1) also in attendance. At the roughly 10 minute meeting Magistrate Hadley announced that an official notification will go to a residence on Buell Collins Road notifying the owner to remove trash and debris from the front yard. Chairman Hadley said that two other active nuisance ordinance violators, previously cited had asked for and received extensions to allow them to take advantage of free tipping. The balance of the meeting included a discussion on making the county's April 29, 2019 PRIDE cleanup day a success. Magistrate Hadley roadside cleanliness in Adair County had gone from the the best in the state to the worst in under three years, but that things seem to be turning around now. - EW
