For reasons known but to themselves and botanists, it seems, Mayapple plants seem to hide their blooms under their fairy umbrella leaves. Fortunately, from the road bed on Jr. Burton Road, the angle is perfect to photograph them without a lot of trouble. Photo Sat. 15 Apr 2015. - EW
