Middle School art students study Kandinsky

Campbellsville Middle School fourth graders Natasha Torres, at left, and Kyra Parker work on their concentric circle paintings. CMS students are studying abstract artwork created by Wassily Kandinsky. Kandinsky is credited with painting one of the first abstract pieces of art. He also painted using concentric circles featuring many bright colors. To demonstrate their skills, CMS students in Jo Ann Harris's art class were asked to make their own concentric circle artwork. They painted trees and added their circles to complete their artwork. Calen McKinney
