An old tree made a perfect frame for this river bottom farm viewed from Keen-Wilson Road, Adair County, KY, in the Christmas day mist, Sunday, December 25, 2016. The photo was taken from above the remains of the long-since-gone Young Mill. A note to anyone going there: This is one of the most dangerous vantage points from an County Road in Adair County. There's no guard rail, the shoulders are the best, and in some places, were one to fall, there's almost no brush to break a fall. The road at this point is graveled, turn arounds are tricky and, on Sunday, Russell Creek was swollen enough to make passage to the KY 80 end of the road impossible - at least in an SUV. - EW
