Epicurean Kentuckian: (Con)Fusion-ed Indian/Harlem chicken/waffles

2016-12-20 - EK Kitchen - Photo by Ed Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com (c).
It may not be ready to be the basis for a chain of Indian Chicken & Waffles restaurants, but last night's supper was good enough to try for breakfast soon. Fun thing was, it was created with store bought frozen waffles, left over store bought chicken, fresh brought on celery, Gala apples, imported brought on grapes, brought on California (so at least close to America) Cuties oranges, etc., so it breaks all a lot of rules for locavores and food snobs. The experimental home mixed curry & sugar free syrup was kind of home-kitchen based. It was made in less than the max 19 minutes and it was delicious. Best thing, it saved a high dollar trip to one of the closest two Indian restaurant's food in Creston, Casey County, KY, where it can cost around $10-12 dollars or more for full dinners for two, and they usually sneak only one or two authentic Indian dishes on the hot bar. Course, we miss the scenery on the way and back. Advice is welcome. Just don't tell Yum! Brands about it. Don't want any chain types stealing the idea. This is for South Central Kentucky entrepreneurs. - EW
