Greg Collins - Memories of Disappointment School

Greg Collins was reminiscing about some of the glory days on Bull Run Road and Bull Run Lane and talk came around to Disappointment School. He remembers that his dad, Joe Collins, Sr., attended the school. His Aunt Marie Collins taught there. He remembers the school building being turned into a church in the 40's or 50's and the Collins family attended the church. It stood about one-tenth of a mile from Bull Run Lane from its intersection with Bull Run Road, and headed for Vester, its site is where a bank house how stands. He remembers that in 1976, on a Halloween, he believes, the church which followed Disappointment School was destroyed by fire. Comments about Disappointment School are welcome. Greg himself is a 1976 graduate of Adair County High School. - EW
