CES third-graders Cody Tamez and Jaylen Clark take a close look at their seeds to see how they've grown over the past few days.Campbellsville Elementary School students recently learned how seeds grow.In Marcia Sharp's and Hannah Jones's classes, students recently worked in groups to study germination. Students learned about what seeds need to germinate, and how a lack of air, sunlight and water can impact their growth. To test their theories, students performed three experiments. First, they gave a seed water and exposed it to warm temperatures. Second, students gave a seed warm temperatures, but no water. Lastly, students gave their seed water, but exposed it to cold temperatures. Students checked on their seeds for several days to mark any changes.
